What is 5-IT?
5-IT, 5-(2-Aminopropyl)indole or 5-API is a research chemical known as an Indole derivative. 5-IT is a compound with similar properties to the Phenethylamine derivative 5-APB. Although, 5-IT is strictly speaking a positional isomer of aMT, the compound does not have Tryptamine properties like aMT. This is because the the indole ring is substituted at the 5 position rather than the 3 position.

What is 5-IT used for?
Due to the the fact that 5-IT is so new, it is difficult to set out a direct area of research for it. Researchers must predict which receptor it may bind to and conduct their research accordingly.
