Ethyl Hexedrone, also called HEX-EN and Ethyl-Hex and n-ethyl-hexedrone, belongs to the substituted cathinone group of research chemicals.
HEX-EN is understood to act as a norepinephrine-dopamine reuptake inhibitor, but this has not been conclusively proven in laboratory studies. It likely also stimulates the release of both dopamine and norepinephrine, acting as both a euphoric and a stimulant.
It differs from the parent molecule, hexedrone, in that it has an extra ethyl group on the nitrogenous carbon chain. It is believed to be roughly 3 times as powerful as hexedrone due to this addition, but this too is poorly documented.
Tactile sensitivity and hallucination
Increased pulse and blood pressure
HEX-EN is not believed to be prohibited in any major jurisdiction or country. However, it may be prohibited as an analogue of an existing controlled substance, depending on the specific laws of the country in question. .
HEX-EN is not approved for use on humans or animals in any way. It should not be consumed, and should only be handled by trained laboratory or forensic professionals.
